Our pricing varies based on stylist level, allowing you to choose the stylist whose experience, expertise, and price point best fit your needs. Every level follows Alfa Jae Salon’s service standards and receives continued education and support, so you can feel confident choosing the right fit for you.

Our Color Refresh service is designed to maintain your existing color by covering or refreshing up to 1 inch of regrowth at the roots. This service includes a customized root color application, shampoo, conditioner, and blowout, leaving your color fresh, consistent, and beautifully maintained between larger color appointments.

Our All Over Color service can be used to deepen your natural color, change your overall tone, refresh faded color, or create a rich, solid shade from roots to ends. Your service includes a customized color formula, professional color application, shampoo, conditioner, and blowout for a polished finish.

This service may include color removal, lightening, filling, toning, corrective color application, or a combination of techniques based on your starting point, with every step focused on achieving the best result while maintaining the integrity of your hair. This service is charged at a base price then hourly.

What to expect
Your Consultation
Every color appointment starts with a thorough consultation. We’ll talk about your goals, inspiration, hair history, maintenance preferences, and what you love or don’t love about your current hair. Your stylist will make sure you’re both on the same page before getting started.
Refreshments
Color appointments can take a while, so get comfortable. We have snacks and drinks available while you process. Feel free to bring your laptop, headphones, a book, or whatever makes your appointment more enjoyable.
Your Custom Formula
Your color is formulated specifically for you. We consider your starting canvas, previous color, hair texture, condition, desired result, and long term goals when creating your formula. We’ll also make adjustments throughout future appointments as your hair and goals evolve.
Your Finish
Your appointment includes a finished style so you can see your new color come together. Depending on your hair and service, we’ll finish with a blowout or natural styling that works with your texture and showcases your final result.
Thoughtful Application
Once we have a plan, your stylist will use the techniques and placement needed to create your desired result. Every application is customized, whether you’re maintaining your current look or making a major change.
Your Maintenance Plan
Before you leave, we’ll talk about what comes next. Your stylist will recommend when to return, how to maintain your results at home, and any products that can help protect your investment. You’ll leave knowing exactly what your hair needs between appointments.

Not usually! Many of our hair color services can be booked without a separate in person consultation. After booking, you’ll receive our consultation forms and salon policies by email. These forms give your stylist important information about your hair history, current color, goals, inspiration, and previous chemical services before you arrive.
Please complete all required forms as soon as possible. Our team will review your information prior to your appointment to make sure the service you selected provides the appropriate time and service plan for your hair goals. If we determine that your appointment needs to be adjusted, upgraded, or changed to a different service, we’ll reach out before your visit whenever possible.
For major color changes, color corrections, or more complex goals, we may still recommend a separate consultation before moving forward.

Our pricing is based on stylist level, which reflects experience, education, demand, and time behind the chair. This gives you the ability to choose a stylist and price point that work for you. Every stylist at Alfa Jae Salon receives continued education and follows our salon standards, including our Alfa Apprentices who work closely with our more experienced stylists as they continue developing their craft.

Absolutely. Our stylists work with a wide range of hair types and textures, and your natural texture is considered when planning your color. We look at factors like curl pattern, density, condition, previous color, and your regular styling routine to create a color plan that supports both your desired result and the health of your hair.

Your ideal maintenance schedule depends on the type of color service, how quickly your hair grows, and how you like your color to look between appointments. As a general guide:
Root Coverage: Every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain gray coverage or visible regrowth.
All Over Color: Every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on regrowth and how quickly your color fades.
Highlights & Dimensional Color: Every 8 to 12 weeks for most guests. More lived in color may allow you to go longer between highlighting appointments.
Gloss or Glaze: Every 6 to 8 weeks to refresh your tone, add shine, and keep your color looking fresh between larger appointments.
Blonding: Typically every 6 to 12 weeks depending on your technique, desired brightness, and amount of natural regrowth.
Vivid Color: Usually every 8-12 weeks depending on the shades used, your home care routine, and how you prefer your vivids to fade.
Your stylist will recommend a maintenance schedule specifically for your hair, color goals, lifestyle, and budget so you know what to expect before leaving the salon.

Come to your appointment with your hair dry and relatively clean, with minimal product buildup. Your hair does not need to be freshly washed unless your stylist has instructed you otherwise. Please complete the consultation forms and policies emailed to you after booking so your stylist can review your hair history, previous chemical services, and color goals before your appointment.
