Jae Bee is a national educator who loves to discuss all things brushed under the rug in this industry. Jae saw what the world of hair education was missing which was the bridge between ALL hair textures. Classes have always been separate and targeting one type of client or one type of stylist, when the industry itself is so diverse. Jae Bee owns one of the most diverse salons on the east coast and makes sure that every stylist who comes on is educated in ALL hair types and textures. Her goal is to break the stereotypes that come from looking at a stylist and immediately deciding what kind of hair they can do. "

THE TEXTURE TECHNIQUES is affordable, on purpose. I personally believe if there had been classes discussing the differences in hair types and techniques within the hair education community a long time ago, a lot more people would have this knowledge. The stigma of hair types different than yours being “hard” is a myth. It is not hard it is just different and because you have not done it before or been taught how to do it correctly, the unexplored hair types are intimidating. As my friend Jordan (@pinupjordan) has helped me to remember: “Accessibility is everything”
